Reframing a wardrobe for Retirement

After a career spent traveling globally in designer suits and formal business attire, a recently retired executive moved from Manhattan to the suburbs and needed a wardrobe suited to a more relaxed lifestyle.

The challenge was to create a more relaxed and versatile wardrobe without defaulting to a predictable suburban uniform of chinos and casual shirting. He wanted to maintain the sophistication and individuality he had always valued while dressing with greater ease.

We edited and resold much of his suiting through The RealReal, retained select designer knitwear and wardrobe favorites, and introduced modern denim, tailored casual trousers, luxury sneakers, and refined layering pieces.

The result was a wardrobe that felt relaxed yet polished, equally appropriate for everyday life, dinners with friends, travel, or the occasional board meeting.
